Basic Foil Highlighting Scottsdale AZ
Foil highlighting is the process of using foil to separate strands of hair which to be lightened from strands of hair which will remain its natural color. This process is done by applying lightener to the hair that has been woven and separated using an applicator brush. The foil is then folded as to protect the hair and surrounding area during the “processing” time. In highlighting hair hydrogen peroxide is used to lighten to natural color of the strand or hair color dyes can be used to lighten and deposit color to the hair. This process is also used in applying “lowlights” to the hair. In this process, hair dyes are used to create strands of hair that are darker than the natural color. The foils are often used to separate hair strands for high and low lights during the same process.
LOW LIGHTING
Low lighting is the same as highlighting but comes in darker shades of color. People who have very bright and light hair colors, lowlight their light hair color. It is an exact opposite of highlighting.
COLOR VEILING (The latest in Hair Coloring Techniques)
Veiling revitalizes your old hair color with the use of a semi permanent hair glaze. Most often, the color chosen is a rich tone to complement the older, duller hair color underneath allowing color to look more natural by adding a veil to it, or a drape of color, not a streak.
